Hey,
I'm Luke, here to learn some Irish, even though I'm starting from scratch. Well, not exactly scratch, but it's been about 5 years since I last studied Irish, so hoping this forum can help with any difficulties I come across. I no doubt need to buy an Irish textbook to help me, can anyone advise me a useful and recent book with good explanations of grammar but comprehensive enough to cover all the areas and providing sufficient vocabulary?
Again, hello to all! :-)
Hi Luke. Welcome to ILF.

You'll find a few kindred spirits around here - people who came back to the language a few years after leaving school, myself included. You will be surprised how much you have; it's just the stringing together that takes a bit of getting used to.
There are a number of sections on the site that may be of interest to you. A very recent one is about learning resources, and we are hoping that more people will add to that.
