Dia daoibh (or is it dhaoibh?), a chairde.
Is mise Lori. Tá mé i mo chónaí i Utah. I've been a lurker on IGTF on and off for years, but I never really posted anything. I have always been drawn to Ireland and Gaeilge and I've wanted to learn Irish for years. I've never had much success in trying because I've never been able to find someone in my area to learn from or practice with.
I've decided to make another attempt at learning. Right now I know a few phrases and a few very basic sentence structures. (e.g. "Tá mé fuar," agus "Is foghlaimeoir mé," etc.) With my motivation to learn rekindled, I went to IGTF as a place to practice, but I saw that it was no longer owned by Eoin and that many of the regular posters had moved to here instead. So here I am!

Go raibh maith agaibh!
(And if anyone knows any speakers/learners/classes in Utah, I would love to have someone to practice with in person.)
