Hi everyone, I've browsed this forum for a little while & decided to finally join properly.
I grew up speaking Irish, but overtime have gotten a bit rusty, so am trying to reacquaint myself
Such a great environment to learn this beautiful language

Welcome to ILF Allsaints77. Do you live in Ireland? Do you have any opportunities to speak Irish at all?
Hi Saoirse!
No

I live in England, which is beautiful too, but Ireland has a beauty all of its own

as I'm sure you'll agree.
I'm definitely going to try to get back there again very soon though, whenever I can,
it really is a beautiful place. The landscape is just unreal.
I'm mixed with Irish and grew up around native speakers so I have a little Irish in me, so to speak.
Mostly sayings/phrases/words that were used regularly around me, while growing up.
But I really want to learn it properly and fluently, so here I am

A character in my novel hails from there as well, so I want to ensure my grasp on the language is as good as it can be

I just wanna soak up all the great info available here and learn from all the super intelligent folks here, seems like a great place to learn about the language
