Funny thing that... I looked it up in the dictionary and they give 'crainn' - but I always heard and use 'crainnte' - I think I got a 'duck egg' more than once or twice when I wrote 'crainnte' instead of what the Department of Education kept telling me it should be... lol...

.... so we soon learned to write one way, and speak another.

Another interesting word today. goilliúnach = easily hurt/sensitive (not to be confused with soap!) How exactly is it used? 'Is duine goilliúnach é' nó 'tá sé goilliúnach' nó an dá slí?

Exactly.

And as Tadhg said - ná bí chomh goilliúnach.

It can also mean distressing.
Ghoill sé orm. It upset me.


It wouldn't be confused for soap (gallúnach) i Conamara as we pronounce that as - galéireach. :D
