Bodily functions are an important part of family vocabulary.
For farting (not mine as I wouldn't partake in such vulgarity), we say ag ligint broim. ie. He farted = Lig sé broim. I think I may have heard 'gaofaracht' at some stage too.
For burping (which I obviously do not do either), we say ag déanamh brúcht ie. He burped = Rinne sé brúcht. Please note that both examples have males engaging in anti-social behavoiur whereas we ladies only speak of them......
These are the kinds of words we didn't learn in school, but now need for normal usage. Are these the terms that others use or are there more usual ones?
