My "specialty" is Connemara Irish, particularly Cois Fhairrge dialect.
Is fearr Gaeilge ḃriste ná Béarla cliste, cinnte, aċ i ḃfad níos fearr aríst í Gaeilge ḃinn ḃeo na nGaeltaċtaí.
Gaeilge Chonnacht (GC), go háraid Gaeilge Chois Fhairrge (GCF), agus Gaeilge an Chaighdeáin Oifigiúil (CO).

GRMA for posting this up, though it's already been mentioned in the other place - and I did already know about it, as I'm always looking for children's games and rhymes in Irish. What I find slightly disappointing (though I wouldn't want to offend anybody) is that in the naíonra, the action song they show is 'The Hokey Hokey Cokey'. First of all, I don't think it's really adapted for the age group of the children you see there, but secondly it's English (or American, as in fact this was originally The Hokey Hokey Pokey) transposed into Irish. I find it strange that they didn't come up with any 'homegrown' Gaoth Dobhair children's rhymes. Even if they don't have them in their own oral tradition, which even so, would be surprising, there must be some trace of what local children did to amuse themselves in the 1937 Schools Project and which is still there in the archives waiting to be used. Personally I think there's scope for someone who wishes to research this subject, to publish a book and make this kind of information more readily available (unless it has already been done - but I haven't seen it).
