Hiya, I'm looking to make an account for my pole dancing hobby and was looking to see if an Irish translation would work for the user name

I was thinking of something like mary_ascends or mary_pole

The internet gave me the following translations but would like to sanity check them if anyone can help;
- Ascends/rises - éirí - mary_éirí
- Pole (specifically related for pole dancing) - cuaille - mary_cuaille

Thanks in advance!

It should be éiríonn Máire (or éiríonn Mary if you want to use your English name), not Mary éirí

or

Mary_a_éiríonn

(if the name should come first)

Is there a preference or is one more natural to use?

For example if I wanted to translate "Mary ascends the stairs" , would either éiríonn Mary or Mary a éiríonn work?

Thanks!

Éiríonn Mary = 'Mary rises', Mary a éiríonn = 'Mary that/who rises'

Would “máire an chuaille” also work here? Could then do a username like maire_a_chuaille.

Máire an chuaille / Máire_an_chuaille = Mary of the pole
Máire a chuaille / Máire_a_chuaille = Mary of his pole
;)

I was going for Máire a' chuaille rather than Máire a chuaille, but you're right, best to stay away from the latter.
Tbh I'm not sure if the variations of éirigh are much better, but there's probably no answer to this question that isn't a euphemism .
Maybe Máire ag rince (or something similar) is safer? Unless OP actually wants something racey.
