Hello, I am almost finished reading Peig, and would like to write up some notes for it. However, the edition that I have is not good. It is riddled with typos, and is inconsistent with native vs standardised grammar. On this thread, viewtopic.php?f=28&t=1423, other forum members talked about other editions that have different grammar within. Does anyone know what version would be considered best? Is there one not talked about in that forum that is better? I haven't been able to find one published in the first half of the 20th century (i.e. one that would have pre-standard spelling). Thanks in advance for any help!

Isn't the 1936 edition the one you need?

That would be the most ideal, but I haven't found any for sale. If you know of a site that I could buy it from I would be very grateful.

Well, Siopa Leabhar has the 1936 edition for €100 (these book shops are all scroungers, of course) and there is also a book called Peig – Foclóir, Nótaí agus Achoimre (ar athláimh) for €8. See https://www.siopaleabhar.com/?s=peig&as ... ge_id=8202

Peig, 1936 edition: https://archive.org/details/unknown0000unse_k3w0/
Looking forwards to reading your notes! I've only read 2 stories from Labharfad le Cách so far using the helpful dialectal transcriptions from https://corkirish.wordpress.com/2016/03 ... ad-le-cach, but of course I do intend to read more (much more) of Peig in the future.

Well, I have completely transcribed Labharfad le cách with notes, and done a large part of Níl deireadh ráite as well. You can send me an email at foghlamoir@gmail.com and I'll send you what I have.

Thank you!
