Hi!! It's been a while since I've been here.

I'm looking into getting a tattoo, and would love it to be in Gaelic.

I've struggled with insecurities and feeling like I'm enough. I'd like to get "I am Enough" done on my forearm, but in Gaelic. Can anyone help with a translation?

Open to any other phrases with the same sentiment. This is deeply personal and meaningful to me.

Thanks so much!!

I understand how you feel but getting a tattoo may not be the best answer for solving these things.

In any case,

Is leor mé

might be good.

I'm not sure if the phrase can be used this way so wait for others to comment.

The same tattoo text was discussed very often, so I recommend to read those older threads:
search.php?keywords=I+am+enough&terms=all&author=&sc=1&sf=all&sk=t&sd=d&sr=posts&st=0&ch=300&t=0&submit=Search

Thanks, I was looking for a sentence like that. I couldn't figure out if it was OK or not.

I'm going to follow Labhrás helpful suggestion and look at those older posts, too.

I’m not looking for it to solve anything. Nor would I feel like it should/would. This was more a visual representation/reminder I am enough.

Thanks.

Well, it seems there are a lot of ways to say it depending on nuance or something that would be a "natural" Irish expression. What I wrote above seems to be acceptable. djwebb gave another possible version that sounds better and (possibly) more Irish to me. If you're not in a hurry, that would be great because it may take a while. It seems like a simple thing to translate such a simple phrase but I personally am always striving for something that many people would agree is (very) good. It's hard to explain, man.

Thank you. I understand what you meant! I apologize if my initial reply came off rude, that truly wasn't my intention. I tried reading back through the older posts as well! It was a tad overwhelming sifting through it all. lol

I looked over those earlier offerings and really wondered if they got across what you want to say. Some of them seem good but I am still thinking that the one below might be closer to what you want to say.

Níl uaim ach mé féin. > All I need is myself.
