Well lads! I'm currently trying to relearn some Irish and I always learn languages better by translating things and just stumbling through. I just had a go at translating a Gàidhlig song from Brave (A Mhaighdean Bhan Uasal) into Gaeilge. It's only a bit of fun for me so I can sing it at home without butchering the Gàidhlig pronunciations but I would still like it to be understandable to an Irish speaker so I'd love if everyone can have a look? I mainly used the auld online dictionaries for words I don't know! I also took some liberties here and there so if it's not a direct translation that's fine as long as it is correct Irish.

Gàidhlig
A naoidhean bhig, cluinn mo ghuth
Mise ri d' thaobh, Ó mhaighdean bhàn
Ar rìbhinn òg, fàs a’s faic
Do thìr, dìleas fhéin
A ghrian a's a ghealach, stiùir sinn
Gu uair ar cliù 's ar glòir
Naoidhean bhig, ar rìbhinn òg
Mhaighdean uasal bhàn

Gaeilge
A stór mo chroí, éist le mo ghuth

You can leave out tá in second line in Irish, too. And you can substitute led for le do at least in Munster Irish (for the meter)
"mhaighdean bhán" in second line is a form of address, so vocative particle a instead of mo.
Standard spelling for "a’s" (agus) is is.
Go huair.

Also 'ár mbéasach óg'...'ár gclú'...'ár nglóire'.
(And 'A Mhaighdean' in the final line too.)

And lem ghuth for le mo ghuth in the first line, to make the syllable count equal.
