I forgot to respond to this part. The word
clann can mean "family" in some contexts (it's where the English word clan comes from), but in modern Irish it is usually used to refer to one's children or descendants.
For "family" in a wider sense, there are basically two choices,
muintir or
teaghlach. The usage can vary by context, but
teaghlach usually refers to the people in one's household, whereas
muintir can refer to a one's extended family (and in context can also be used to refer to one's community or one's "people" or "tribe").
So, the choices would be:
Mo mhuintir, mo ghráMy family, my love
and
Mo theaghlach, mo ghráMy family, my love
