Ok. This may sound a bit silly, but my dog is my world and I consider him my closest family (my fur baby). I want to get a tattoo with family or child or something to that effect above either his nose print or his paw print.
I know he won't be in my life forever, so the idea is to have the word in an arch on my side and I could put other names, etc. underneath.
P.S. his name is Guinness :-)

clann is a word which can be taken to mean family or children in the sense of "a bunch of siblings who share a parent/parents".

I totally get you, my dogs are my children too.

Like Ade said I'd use "clann" too.

Mo Chlann - my family/my children

If using "clann" on its own then there is no H, but if using "mo" (my) before it then you must add the H, it's a grammar thing.
