Gurab é do shaol is tabhachtaí é.

Níor cheart an dara 'é' a bheith ann.
A) Is é an tUachtarán an duine is tábhachtaí - Is é an duine is tábhachtaí é
B) Is é an tUachtarán is tábhachtaí - Is é/eisean is tábhachtaí
Yes, I think there are two kinds of sentences:
A) a normal copula sentence (which I had in mind, with second é as subject)
Is é do shaol is tabhachtaí é. = It is your life which is most important. (or better: It is your most important life.)
B) a cleft sentence (without ... é, with [an rud] is tabhachtaí being the subject.)
(Is é) do shaol is tabhachtaí. = It's your life that is most important.
You are right, B) is much better in this context.
