In Irish English, when you say - Stretch out your hand (to me) is this the equivalent of - Give me your hand ? and in Irish, would that be - Sín amach do lámh (chugam) rather using the verb - to give/tugaim ?
I've also seen - leag anseo í (put it there) but this would be in slang.

FGB does give the example "Do lámh a shíneadh chuig duine" as meaning either to proffer one's hand to someone or to lend someone a hand.
