Hi everyone! I am hoping to get help with a translation for a tattoo. I am just looking for something simple. I would like something that says stay strong. I have been going through the some health issues the last several years and would like something to help remind me that I will get through it. I thought having it in Irish would be a great way to honor my heritage as well. it has always been my dream to someday travel to Ireland I would like the tattoo to be correct if I ever make it over there. Thank you so much.

I don't think it makes much sense to translate this phrase directly into Irish, though from a quick search online a direct translation - Fan láidir - seems to be common. I'll let others way in on that as well, though it seems to be Béarlachas 'Anglacism' to me

In the meantime:

Glac meanma take courage (of the mind), meanma is usually reserved for strength of mind.

Ná bíodh lagmhisneach ort 'don't be in low spirits'.
