Does "brionglóid" need to be definite? Could it be "Níl i mbrionglóid gan araíonacht ach samhlaíocht"?

Yes, that construction works too. Although I have never heard the word "araíonacht".

I looked it up in the dictionary - smacht is the first word on the list, so I suppose I should have realised that it would be the one most used.
