I'm trying to translate - Seven balanced steps to living a balanced life
Here's my attempt at it -
Na seacht gcéimeanna ar bheatha chothromaithe a maireachtáil.

Maybe,

Seacht gcéimeanna chun shlí maireachtála chothrom.
Seven steps towards a balanced way of living.

I don't think you need cothromaithe, cothrom should be fine. But I might be wrong there ;)

I think it would depend on what you mean by "balanced." A healthy life? A satisifying life? Being in control of your emotions? Managing your time and commitments? Balancing your finances? Balancing your chakras?

The metaphor of "a balanced life" is vague marketing speak, something I would have thought was specific to English. Out of curiousity, is there an equivalent metaphor in French?

Sorry I made a mistake - the title is 'Seven steps to living a balanced life' (I put in an extra 'balanced' there) - yes in French there is the term équilibré and the idea of - évaluer l'équilibre entre la vie professionnelle et la vie privée.
It's the title of a short article - the seven steps are -
Keep fit
Learn to relax
Rid yourself of negative emotions
Visualise your goals
Find time each day to be alone
Simplify your life
Develope a sense of humour
- I didn't write it, I was just wondering how to express it in Irish and I don't necessarily agree with everything in it.
The first sentence is - For most people living in industrialised countries, being radiantly healthy is simply a matter of choice.
D'fhormhór na ndaoine (or could I use cuid mhór there?)

Okay, I understand now. I'd say something like:

Seacht gcéimeanna chun shaol níos fearr.

Maybe cothrom can be used for a balanced life but I'm not familiar with the word so I'll wait for someone else to comment on that.

Here's my attempt at that one:

Ní ach rogha é a bheith folláin leis an formhór i dtíre tionsclaithe.

Formhór - means "the majority".
Cuid mhór - or - go leor - means "many" or "a lot".
So it's not quite the same meaning.

Another way to say "most" is - an chuid is mó.

I think "balanced life"/"saol cothrom" is an English idiom that's sounds a bit odd in Irish.

It is recommended that you always wait for three to agree on a translation.
I speak Connemara Irish, and my input will often reflect that.
I will do an mp3 file on request for short translations.

Why not 'seacht gcéim'?
