Hello all, I would just love to have a 2nd opinion on a translation I have already received. This is to be engraved on a memorial necklace for me sister who's son just passed away unexpectedly, so I really want to be certain of the translation. Here is the english txt I was thinking of

God lent you to us for a little while before he called you home.
We miss you every moment, but smile because we know,
now you get to run and play and rest in Jesus' arms.

And the translation I have

Seal do bhí tú againn ó Dhia sular ghlaoigh sé abhaile ort,
Is mór an chaill tú, ach cuimhnímid
Go ndéanann tú rith agus súgradh anois i mbaclainn Íosa.

Another translator said this other translation is more accurate.

D’fhan tú seal againn le tamall béag ach ghlaoigh Dia abhaile ort arís.
Tá cumha orainn i do dhiaidh ach táimid sasta go bhfuil fios againn
Go bhfuil tú ag súgradh sna flathis, agus i do chodladh i mbaclainn Íosa.

The second one looks much more accurate to me, but let others weigh in before committing to the engraving.

Thank you for the response, I have 2 others agreeing with the 2nd translation on another forum. But with the spelling corrections of Sásta , beag. flaithis. Can anyone else confirm the spelling corrections?

I don't know about word for word accuracy, but might I also suggest the following for the idea:
D'fhan tú seal beag linn sular ghlaoigh Dia abhaile ort.
Bíonn cumha orainn i do dhiaidh ach déanaimid gáire leat
agus tú ag rith agus ag spraoi agus a luí i mbaclainn Íosa.

In Line 1 there should be no 'le' before 'tamall beag" . In any case, 'seal' and 'tamall beag' mean more or less the same thing: "You stayed a while/period with us for a little while. One of them is redundant.

In line 2 'fios' should be 'a fhios'.

You stayed a little while with us before God called you home.
We are lonely without you but we laugh with you,
and you run and play, and lie in Jesus' embrace.
