Same thing in all the Celtic languages as far as I know. Looks like there was no Celtic word to say "to dance", or at least if there were one, it has been lost in the 6 modern Celtic languages...

Probably there was a Celtic word that has been replaced by loanwords very long ago...

If there was a notice in English saying "Learn how to dance" the Irish notice wouldn't translate it but say " Foghlaim Damhsa?"..learn dancing...there's no how, just an order?

"Learn how to dance" is also an order :)
And I don't see any difference between "learn dancing" and "learn how to dance" :)
