My guess if, and no offence to Eoghan, that that will be double dutch to him! I am not singling you out Eoghan, but IPA is not exactly on the school curriculum! :mrgreen:

It shouldn't be if he has been using Foclóir Scoile. :dhera:

Anyway, gym is pronounced the English way, whereas giom have the same g as "give".

By the way, for what it's worth, IPA should absolutely be taught in every school at a reasonably early age, but in Ireland anyway, it isn't. :no:

Would it not be Éiríonn sé go han(a)(-) luath ? My inclination is to say go anyways. (and dom at the end, but this is a minor point and is fine whre it is really as has been discussed before).
