Inniu Céadaoin an Luaithrigh (Ash Wednesday), tús an Charghais (beginning of Lent)

Déanainn mo Charghas ar mhilseáin nuair a bhí mé níos óige, ach ní dhearna mé faic le déanaí. B'fhéidir i mbliana?
Déanainn mo Charghas ar mhilseáin = I used to give up sweets for Lent

(Bhí mé chun 'Rinne mé mo Charghas ar...' a scríobh, ach ceapaim go bhfuil 'Déanainn mo Charghas ar...' níos oiriúnaí mar gach bhliain atá i gceist.)

An mbeidh aon rud á dhéanamh ag éinne i rith an Charghais seo?

This thread was just an excuse to throw in some of the relevant vocab!

Tá siad uilig ag déanamh a gCarghais ar an gCríostaíocht.

Agus inniu Aoine an Chéasta = Good Friday. Níl faic eile le rá agam faoi, ach cheap mé gur fiú trácht air!
