My "specialty" is Connemara Irish, particularly Cois Fhairrge dialect, but I can also speak Ulster and Munster Irish with native-level pronunciation.
Is fearr Gaeilge ḃriste ná Béarla cliste, cinnte, aċ i ḃfad níos fearr aríst í Gaeilge ḃinn ḃeo na nGaeltaċtaí.
Gaeilge Chonnacht (GC), go háraid Gaeilge Chois Fhairrge (GCF), Gaeilic Uladh (GU), Gaelainn na Mumhan (GM), agus Gaeilge an Chaighdeáin Oifigiúil (CO).

We don't know each other. But I'm sure you know Redwolf, Scooby and some of the others well.

It is recommended that you always wait for three to agree on a translation.
I speak Connemara Irish, and my input will often reflect that.
I will do an mp3 file on request for short translations.

Glad to be a part of this forum, which has been my go-to for quick reference in Irish for quite some time.

They say that the death of a language is the death of a culture, so I'm glad to see Gaelic spoken anywhere.

Most of my interest in, and curiosity for, Irish Gaelic derives from what I call rebel radio; old songs of the Irish rebels of various eras, from Follow me up to Carlow to the Merry Ploughboy and so on.

I'm also fascinated at how unrelated Gaelic is to English, and how interesting Gaelic looks when written in English (the absence of K and J, for example).

Anyhow, I ramble. Glad to be aboard and thanks for having this forum.
