Now I'm thinking on Red Dwarf. ? (réalta) Chranda Dhearg ?

Well, the official term is abhac dearg, but I don't think they'd use it much in the Gaeltacht. ;) Like me, they'd probably have visions of little men with red suits or red skin.

(Using abhacréalta dearg would help avoid this confusion.)

Yes, even more poetic. (I had this version come to mind as well but couldn't remember where I had seen na Réalt to confirm it ?)

Wha'ts poetic about it?

Bachall na Réalt just sounds more poetic in my head space Raxis...and that's the only place poetry really matters :) ...and definitely more poetic than my Cosmic Cane; unless the story is set in a nursing home...Ooooh is it?

As Seán said, it is just a feeling. Possibly the "older" feel of the genitive plural when it reverts to the singular instead of having an appended plural suffix. :dhera:
