I sang with the chorus in this beautiful show last year, and we've been invited to perform in the Santa Cruz Fringe Festival next week! I'm afraid the clips don't really do it justice...the dancers are amazing (and the singing ain't half bad either, if I do say so myself!). That's Mary Mc Laughlin singing lead.

This video was taken during our performance at the Irish Studies Conference in San Jose last year.

Sadly, this video doesn't include any of the songs we do in Irish (Fear a' Bháta and An Mhaighdean Mhara) and Scottish Gaelic.

Bainigí sult as!

First show sold out! Given how many other acts are going on at the same time during this festival, that's really exciting!

The audience really seemed to "get" it too, which was nice. I heard some "ooo's" and "ah's" at appropriate times, and even a stifled sob when the Selkie woman went back to the sea. And we got an ovation after one of the songs (even though it came right at the beginning of the show).

Next show is this Wednesday!

We sold out again last night! They had to turn people away! I think we must be one of the most successful shows at the Fringe Festival!

One more show to go...this coming Saturday night.

Conas ar éirigh libh? How did it go? I'm trying to catch up with news so a little behind everyone else.

Oh, it was brilliant! The audience absolutely loved it.

Though I did find myself explaining what a "Selkie" is to someone as we were waiting to go on!
