We've been struggling with Google "Translate" since they first started offering Irish...their translations are pathetically bad, and they refuse to post any kind of disclaimer.
In this case:
If you enter "I have a toothache," what you get is "There is a pain in my back" (tá pian i mo dhroim)
If you enter "I have a backache," you get an EXTREMELY ungrammatical rendition of "I AM a backache," with "backache" left in English (tá mé backache). For those who are beginners, aside from the fact that "backache" is in English, this construction just doesn't work, even if you really WANT to say "I am a backache."
If you enter "I have backache" (without the "a"), you get a reasonably good translation of "I have a cold" (tá slaghdán orm).
Google is usually bad, but this is one of the worst I've seen from them in a while!
