It is recommended that you always wait for three to agree on a translation.
I speak Connemara Irish, and my input will often reflect that.
I will do an mp3 file on request for short translations.

I've been trying to figure out how they reason who will get permanent bans, who will get temporary bans, etc. Personally, I think temporary bans are rather silly (though I seem to keep collecting them). If you consider what the person did serious enough to ban without first issuing a warning, then just ban him and have done with it.

I'm also curious as to what they're going to do for translators now that they've banned all of them.

I finally got my own badge of honour!

I started a thread- addressed it to the Management and people looking for translations.

I basically gave out about how the site has gone to shit- (spamers, unanswered questions, stupid responses etc...) since they got rid of all the translators and that they should have heeded our advice and that they have destroyed a site that took years of hard work and dedication on yer part to build. I also informed them that this would be my last post.

Then I said to anyone who wanted a quick translation, who wanted to learn Irish or Scottish Gaelic or who just wanted a bit of banter to come over here, were they could meet like-minded people who were passionate about Irish and all the other insular celtic languages, and that they would be more than welcome.

I closed the threat with- for this I am more than likely going to be banned but I hope many would get the opportunity to read it before it was deleted or altered.- If that doesn't get ya banned I don't know what else will! :D

I can't get a hold of an explanation as to why I was banned as I can't click on the administration board icon- it keep saying its not installed

I made a small fuck up at the start: I said Irish Translators forum, but Bríd was quick to point it out to me and I fixed it.

I reckon Irish Scout deleted the message and either banned me or else informed someone else to ban me.

There is one translator over there that seems reasonably capable "Gaelún"- have we any friends left on there we could try and coax him over!

They haven't banned Google Trashlate. I bet it'll become a frequent visitor over there......

I've seen at least one post with someone saying they got the translation from Google. I told them it wasn't right and they should Google Irish Learners Forum....

I'm banned until April 19th

I don't know but from what I see of him he's fairly legit.

It might be me just being paranoid about it all, but what's to stop them sneaking in here and taking notes

You are not being a bit paranoid; you can be certain they are visiting here regularly. They even quoted us in a thread over there a while back; it was great to get a bit of free promotion for our non-commercial site here!

With a bit of luck, they might even learn the cúpla focal! At the very least, they should know their shit from their shite as we have gone to considerable lengths to figure it all out.
