Hello. I am working on a tattoo idea. I lost my mother this past December and my wife and I are expecting our baby girl Grace in May. I would like the following phrase translated into Gaelic to include in a tribute tattoo "In a time of sorrow, I was granted Grace". I greatly appreciate any assistance given. Thanks.
I have been provided with the following translation and am seeking two other confirmations prior to setting an appointment for the tat.
In aimsir bhrónach, deonaíodh Gráinne dom
Thanks so much for any help that can be given.

I wonder if you actually want to 'translate' your daughter's name. It may make more sense to leave her name as it is, ie. Grace, the name you will call her, and just translate the rest of the phrase? That is a matter for you to decide though.
