Yes, my original post was a copy from Wikopedia - which should be edited.
The version which was taught in school (Tipperary circa 1943) and if memory serves me correctly was:
ardóidh mé mo sheol
go ndéanfad cuairt míosa ann ( without the séimhiú) on míosa
'S i mbaile taobh thíos de (instead of i mballa in the Wikopedia version
