Week long summer course in the Gaeltacht for families

This is a week long course for families. As far as I know, it is the only one of its kind in the country. And it's brilliant! We went two years ago and are heading back this year. It accommodates all levels from total beginners to absolutely fluent (they study literature etc) and everything in between.

I know a few people here have mentioned that they are trying to improve their Irish because their children are at school. I know we have other members with fluent Irish who have children. This course suits everyone with pre-school/primary/early secondary school children. I cannot recommend it highly enough. The environment of fun through Irish for both children and adults is not recreated on this scale anywhere else I believe.

The language knowledge of the adults attending varies considerably, but all ranges from beginner to fluent are catered for. To expand on that, adults from the Gaeltacht attend and adults who have no Irish at all attend. Interesting group!

There is great craic to be had.

I have no shares in this business. I will not make money promoting it. But I will be going!

Oh, so they are teaching Cois Fhairrge Irish up in Donegal now, then, are they? :winkgrin:

A Shaoirse, is dócha go mbeadh a fhios agat go raibh RnaG ag tabhairt ar shiúl (ar an chlár 'Barrscéalta', a chraoltar as Gaoth Dobhair) 10 scolaireacht, arbh fhiú 1000 euro an ceann iad, + 400 euro "i dtreo lóistín", do theaghlaigh (2 dhaoine fásta + 2 pháiste) le freastáil ar an chúrsa seo. Ar chuir tú isteach ar an "chomórtas"?
