This footnote is confusing to me. What is the purpose of go dtí? It seams odd for it to just be left at the end of the sentence here, with no object, given that it is a preposition.

It’s a printer’s error presumably. The footnote is explaining ath-rón, which is rón bliana go dtí say, dhá bhliain - a seal one (up) to two years old. The part after go dtí has somehow got left out.
