I suspect that some of you have an interest in the wider online language learning community (wider than Irish, I mean) and may already know that there is a relatively informal international gathering of language learners, the Polyglot Gathering (usually in Berlin), as well as a more formal Polyglot Conference (which moves around but is in Thessaloniki this year).
