I'm french and i need your help. I want to have a tattoo but i'm not sure the translation is correct. I would like to know if "who lives in my heart is eternal" is "An rud atá beo im chroí, mairfidh sé go síoraí" in gaelic. Can you help me please? (sorry if my english is not very good, french people are not very good in other language )

Tout d'abord - an rud - veut dire - la chose - pas la personne - il vaut mieux commencer avec - an té.

"An rud atá beo..." = "What lives..."; "An té atá beo" = "Who lives".

The more usual form is "i mo chroí", mais on dit "im chroi" aussi.

"An té atá beo i mo/im chroí, mairfidh sé go síoraí."

Merci de vos réponses!! En fait en français la phrase est "ce qui vit dans mon coeur est éternel" (mauvaise traduction en anglais de ma part). Du coup en gaelic ça donne An rud ou non?

'An rud atá beo...' = 'Ce qui vit...'; 'An té atá beo...' = 'Celui qui vit...'.

'nídh' creates a pleasing rhyme
Is síoraidhe an nídh
a mhaireann im' chroidhe
