A book I read had the following example sentence:

Chuir mé amach an cat a bhéic an oíche go léir.
I put out the cat that howled/meowed all night.

If I want to use the noun phrase "an cat" along with a direct relative clause and a verbal noun following it, is this the word order / how it would be done?

Ba mhaith liom an cat a bhéiceann an oíche go léir a chur amach.
I'd like to put out the cat that howls/meows all night.

Yes. If your relative clause is too long, you can use this order, so that it's clear:

An cat a bhéiceann an oíche go léir, ba mhaith liom é/í a chur amach.
(in certain dialects, "cat", although masculine, is refered to with sí/í)
