Hello everyone,

I already introduced myself in the relevant topic and I want to learn irish as soon as possible.

But now, I just your help for a tattoo: I would like to have "be happy" on my arm, and I like to have this tattoo before I learn irish... Don't get me wrong, I really want to learn it, but I am studying industrial engeneering right now and I don't have time to learn it now...

Bímis sásta = Let's be satisfied/content
Bíodh áthas orainn = Let's be joyful

This might sound like an odd question, but who is the tattoo addressed to? My translations above assume you are saying "Let's all be happy" but maybe you are just reminding yourself to be happy? Or telling others to be happy? That could change things.

In that case, I'd go with one of these:

Bí sásta = Be happy (satisfied)
Bíodh áthas ort = Be happy (joyful)

They both mean different things, so you have to decide what kind of hapiness you are talking about.

Wait for at least two more people to confirm my translations before you get a tattoo. Our rule here is that three people should agree so you'll know there are no mistakes.

I like Bí sásta "be happy (with your lot/with what you've got)". But it may depend on what nuance you are after.

Another suggestion that might capture the feel of "be happy" less literally is:

Bain ceol as an saol. "Get the most out of life", literally "Get music out of life."

It is recommended that you always wait for three to agree on a translation.
I speak Connemara Irish, and my input will often reflect that.

I mean the kind of happiness: i just want to remind myself to enjoy life and just to be happy with the things and people i have! so i think satisfied is a good meaning!
