In Gailge Chois Fharraige an Deilbhíocht de Bhaldraithe states it is uncommon. Learning Irish does not mention it but says that seo is pronounced with a /w/ as though spelled seobh (Lesson 14) before the pronouns é and í. Colloquial Irish states that seo is pronounced with a /d/ before the pronouns é and í.

I have heard Seod í and Seod é used and I have heard the form mentioned by Ó Siadhail as well. In the experience of those of you who have either studied in the Cois Fharraige area or who speak the dialect as their mother tongue, which is more common and in what situations? Is it only when followed by the pronouns í and é? Or also with iad? [EDIT: ignore that. Obviously Bríd used this in an example...] Additionally, is seod common through the Conamara dialects generally?

It is not common in Cois Fhairrge, but it appears to be the preferred form further west.
