We're going to be singing on the radio again! (and this time we're definitely doing "An Mhaighdean Mhara"! I sing the alto part, coming in on the second verse). Tomorrow morning at 8:45 a.m. U.S. Pacific Standard Time (which I THINK is 4:45 p.m. in Ireland...someone check me on this!). We're also doing "A Íosa, Coimeád na Caoraigh," on which I have a solo.

We won't have the full choir this time, as most folks have to be at work at that time of the morning. There will just be three of us, plus Mary.

To listen on-line, go to http://www.ksco.com and find "Listen Live" at the top of the page. There are different buttons for "Mac" and "PC."

Hope some of you can tune in!

Our final concert for the season will be Saturday, November 16 (so this coming Saturday), at 7:30 p.m. at Pacific Cultural Center in Santa Cruz, in case anyone happens to be in the area!

[Just editing to say that the KSCO radio broadcast was on Friday, November 15, and is no longer available, as far as I can tell].

Cór Ainglí (www.coraingli.com).

I don't think the radio clips are available anymore though, sadly. The KUSP one was only available until the 16th, and I don't think that KSCO archives its Friday morning show. We did record some of the concert, and we're hoping to eventually get some of that up on YouTube. There are some clips from a 2009 show on the website, but that's with the 25-member choir...the group we have now is much tighter.

You are giving Saoirse some serious competition in the "funny post" category!

I hadn't realised it's been and gone. All those angelic voices - and I've missed them. :??:

It is recommended that you always wait for three to agree on a translation.
I speak Connemara Irish, and my input will often reflect that.
I will do an mp3 file on request for short translations.

That's OK. That one was shorter (we only got to do two songs), and there were only a few of us there, as it was a work day for most of the choir.
