Is there an adjective in Irish (traditional or new) that would correspond to "freelance"?

I participated in an interview (in Irish!) today, and when asked my occupation, I said "is scríbhneoir 'freelance' mé" because I suddenly had no idea how to express that I'm a writer for hire, rather than a writer who writes books, or who works for a newspaper. Is there a word or phrase in Irish that works for this concept? I've never encountered it before (probably because I've been in less formal situations where my precise occupation wasn't important.

"Focal" says - saoririseoir

That actually sounds like free work to me.

Personally I'd prefer - Iriseoir Neamhspleách

It is recommended that you always wait for three to agree on a translation.
I speak Connemara Irish, and my input will often reflect that.
I will do an mp3 file on request for short translations.

GRMA! That makes sense!

I'd never really had to think about it before.
