We were there in the Summer of 1982 for five weeks - it only rained for two days in the Burren, plus a few light showers on Aran and in the Sherkin Mountains. They were beginning to get worried that the landscape wasn't quite as green as it should be and we got attacked by midges when out walking on the Wicklow Way - which had only just been partly signposted at the time. Sadly, several of the youth hostels we stayed in have since been closed.

1982 - They teach about the weather that year in our history books now. :LOL:
