Ahh, missed that, sorry! The reason I asked was because it sounded to me that I could detect the same accent English speakers have around here, but was afraid I was just being excessively picky. It's not something I can pinpoint but a general "rounding", especially in the "r" sounds.

I think it's important to know because being a non-English speaker I think it's best to avoid accumulating accents :D

Manachán is part of a pseudo-Republican ''tradition' in the South of people whose families were connected to the 'War of Independence' and are part of the Establishment but never became controlling elements. It's hard to know what to make of them

As I mentioned Cúirt Mheán-Oíche above (and I'm currently reading the bilingual version, but also making a note of the words I don't understand) and this thread is also about what's on YouTube in Irish you might enjoy watching this -
