Would anyone know where I may find a comprehensive list of Colour names, in Irish?
I am sure this question must have come up before, but I tried searching with the [Search] function, but found nothing.

Are you looking for any particular colours? Depending on context, colours in Irish can differ.

there are loads of colours if we count all the nuances that are used in painting etc (anyway I doubt all of them have an Irish name)

glas green [also = grey for horses & cows]

uaine [vivid] green [clothes, etc.]

dúgorm navy blue

geal light colored
dubh black
dorcha dark colored
donn brown [donnrua = bay (horse)]
donnbhuí light brown, beige
crón [dark] tan
bánbhuí cream-colored

Tá sé suimiúil go bhfuil uaine, bán agus flannbhuí ar an mbratach náisiúnta.

It is interesting that this is the way green, white and orange is on our national flag, not the glas and oráiste one might expect.

I think "flannbhuí" is an older word. "Oráiste" is kinda Béarlachas. Oranges never grew in Ireland so we didn't have them to compare colours with.
