Thank you so much for the clarifications :good: ! I suppose I meant : is main liom : is wish with me ; then adding in le fáil ann ; with to find there ; this is certainly used in an tSeanbhean bhocht to mean just that ; but yeah Irish is so complicated to those of us who are not native speakers ! :)

Just then out of interest how would you say then 'as gaelige' ; I wish to find you there at home - meaning my home - to the little butterfly ?

Pearl re your question - just check out teanglann.ie ; it's my one stop source as you can't go wrong as it's the definitive source - you will be amazed at how many meaning Irish words and constructs can have depending on the context and diallect.

Best wishes and we are all on a journey to improve !

le fáil doesn't mean "to find", as "le" is not an infinitival particle, and Irish doesn't have an infinitival particle.

Le fáil means "available to be found",roughly.

You probably mean: ba mhian liom tú a fháil sa bhaile

If it's his home, maybe "sa bhaile agam"?

At home in the sense of "waiting for me when I get there" is "sa bhaile romham".

I agree on that one. Maybe also feidhleacáinín/peidhleacáinín instead of bhig but I don't know if that goes along with the rhythm well.

Déise Irish is the Decies Irish spoken in Waterford. It was spoken in a belt from Waterford to East Tipperary. The Déise were a social class in ancient Ireland, probably unfree or the descendants of slaves or something. There were various Déise groups, Déise Múman in Munster are not necessarily related to the Déise in other parts of the country. So this refers to an ancient population group.

Go raibh maith agat djwebb2021. That's interesting for sure !

I got 71% in the Gaelchultur test by the way this morning :). The multi-choice questions go from really easy to increasingly grammatically complex and obscure ! Im probably the only person in NZ to have done it - but I do have Irish ancestry.

I've written the next piece of the song, it's kind of short. It goes like this:

Was it all illusions?
Between denial and reality.
I have lost myself in fantasies
In my wretched existence
I'm trapped eternally.
I can't escape.

Sorry, Pearl. Hasn't this been translated yet? Give me a bit and I'll try something.

An raibh sé go léir seachmaill
idir shéanadh agus réaltacht?
Tá mé caillte i fantasíochta;
(is) i mo shaol trua
atá mé gafa go deo.
Ní féidir liom éalú.

I'm not sure about how this comes across at all. I hope some others will lend their ideas.
You can see that I moved and added some punctuation, too. Does that change the sense or meaning of what you want?
