This is a real difficulty with learning Irish. You will speak to one native and they'll say "a ghrá" is outmoded and odd sounding Learner Irish. Then you'll go to their neighbour and say "mo ghrá" and they'll find that simplified Béarlachas. I've heard complete free variation on the verbal noun for less common* verbs, each version wrong to those who don't use it.

*less common here means anything outside very frequent verbs like déan, bí, etc. A simple example is péinteáil. Don't get me started on plurals for nouns!
