Tattoo "Follow me and.."

My husband and I will be getting tattoos his will be in Spanish (since my ancestry is mainly Spanish) and Mine in Irish Gaelic (he recently learned he is of Irish decent). That being said he nor I speak Gaelic and I don't trust google translate :LOL:

So what I am needing translated is as follows:

"Follow me and I will follow you"

I don't have a preference in dialect since we can't narrow down that far but would like to make sure I am using a font that will translate correctly as well so any help with choosing a font would be greatly appreciated :yes:

Leansa mise is leanfadsa thusa

As a font, I'd recommend Bunchló or Bunchló Ársa as here:

Leansa mise ⁊ leanfadsa ṫusa

But wait for confirmations/corrections

What about "Lean mise, agus leanfaidh mé thusa"?

I kind of read this as a direct statement rather than a conditional one, but that may just be me.

leanfaidh mé= leanfad
leanfaidh mise = leanfadsa

It is a direct statement, future tense 1st person.
(not very common outside Munster, but short and perhaps more "poetic").

Only one emphatic form on both sides of "is" is probably enough (Lean mise is leanfad thusa) but I think it sounds better with two.
(And "lean mise" could be misinterpreted as "I followed".)

I seem to recall that to stress an imperative you either added "féin" or "tusa" as in
"Déan féin é" 'do it yourself'
"Déan tusa é" 'you do it'
"Déan tusa féin é" 'you do it yourself'

I am guessing that
"Déansa é"
Would be stressing the verb?
'do it'

Bí do mo leanúintse, agus bead féin do do leanúintse

But I am not suggesting this is better than the previous option

No, -sa/-se can only emphasize persons.
In imperatives the second person is emphasized.
Usage differs in imperative mood which form is preferred: -sa, thusa, féin All of them are fine.
