I've just seen this in the dictionary - bos a teo - translated as 'hot hands' - (I was hoping it would be Palm Court, but anyway) it's a children's game and I'm guessing it would consist of two children (probably girls) standing opposite each other and hitting each other's palms fast and hard in rhythm while reciting a rhyme just as quickly. Would anybody recognise it and have any idea of the rhymes that would be said in this context (in Irish of course)?

I remember playing this a lot but we never had a name for it.We'd say "Won't go to Macy's" the first line of one of the rhymes and commence playing. The pair stood facing each other. palms forward and one hit the other one's palms in rhythm , hiting opposite hands, crossing hands while hitting, When the rhyme was finished, it was the other chiild's turn. The only rhyme I know was purely New York origin so what the Irish would be. níl fhios agam. It was mainly played in the schoolyard during recess.
