Just wanted to check I have the correct translation. Does the following make sense?

Cuimhnigh na diech

I don't recognise 'diech'. Is there any chance you mean the number ten? Write in English what you want and we'll help you out. I am wondering if you mean, 'Remember the ten'? If it is ten people, that matters too when translating as there are different ways of counting things and people in Irish.

What you have doesn't quite make sense. Cuimhnigh takes the preposition ar and the last word is incorrect. Could you let us know what you intended to say?

If you meant, "Remember the ten" and you mean "ten people", you would have to use deichniúr instead of deich:

Cuimhnigh ar an deichniúr "Remember the ten (people)"

If you didn't mean "ten people", then I think it can be either an deich or na deich for "the ten (things)", but the latter is usually used when an actual noun follows.

No, it's not clear what you are trying to translate. Is diech supposed to be deich (the number 10)? "Remember the ten" or something like that? In any case, the grammar is wrong. If you tell us what you are translating, we'll be able to help.

Thanks guys. If I could ask one more question, how do you come to the conclusion of using 'deichniur' for ten (people)?

Someone will come along with all the technical stuff, but basically there is a different set of words for the numbers when counting people. Also, be careful to include the fada on the u. If you use 'u' instead of 'ú', you are spelling it wrong.
