this one is wrong, should be "Táim ag tabhairt leabhair do Mháire"



a length accent is missing on the a, apart from that it's right:

"Táim ag tabhairt do Mháire, leabhar" is absolutely correct in a spoken way. Consider the following question...

" Cad 'tá á thabhairt agat do Mháire?" "Táim ag tabhairt do Mháire, (pause, duine ag smaoineamh)- leabhar"
The second one is indeed wrong. I didn't quote it just spelled it out exactly as was above in another entry.

"Táim á thabhairt do Mháire" I'm being given to Máire...go for it kid, if you can get it. It might be different up the country but you wouldn't hear that here at all. I think the Connacht people use that construction but it wouldn't be used like that in Munster

well if I hesitated when saying that I'd say
"Tá mé 'tabhairt... leabhaire do Mháire". I wouldn't put "do Mháire" before.

why "táthar" ? it would make the sentence wrong, in my opinion.
