I can't believe I wrote old one's - anyway, it's changed above.

My fault

The last relevant point was:

What do people think of using uamhan instead of iontach?

Grásta uamhain- nach binn an fhuaim

or using the original lines from the the original song in Irish:

Is aoibhinn liom an grásta Dé

or whether to go with Bríd's suggestion.

or the version Caoimhín put forward.?????

Tuairimí ag aoinne eile???

Not to keep a side thread going but shouldn't "of" be "off" - but I am sure you'll all be getting jack of me by now. :bolt:

Back to the thread:

Grásta uamhain- nach binn an fhuaim

I like this one.

Yes, I left out a letter. I'm not with it today.

Reminds me of another joke though! (which really only works well when told verbally - but here goes anyway).

A guy goes to Tesco (Supermarket) and is annoyed that yet again there are no shopping trolleys outside. He goes up to the manager to complain. The manager doesn't hear him properly and asks him to repeat what he had just said. The customer is getting annoyed now and says in a loud voice that there are no trolleys outside. Once again the manager does not hear him due to the supermarket noise. In his loudest voice the customer shouts: 'There are no trolleys T-R-O-L-L-F-E-Y-S outside'.

Not happy with being shouted at, the manager decides to remain calm but to cut the customer down to size. He replies: 'I think you'll find sir that there's no F in trolleys'.

'Finally, you get it', says the customer!
