new to the forum, but it looks great. I am working on a story about an Irish Catholic family living in PreWar Boston. Can someone tell me what a Prayer Candle was called in Gaelic? As well as what a support group, or group of people who help a widow would be called?

I assume that you mean a candle lit in a church. I'm not familiar with the term "prayer candle" for that (it may depend on where one grew up), but you could presumably use coinneal urnaithe as an Irish equivalent for that.

For the other request, I'm not aware of any special name for such a group, but you can describe it as follows:

grúpa a thabhairt taca do bhaintreach
a group which provides support to a widow

My "specialty" is Connemara Irish, particularly Cois Fhairrge dialect, but I can also speak Ulster and Munster Irish with native-level pronunciation.

You could shorten that to -
grúpa tacaíochta do bhaintreach
or
grúpa cabhrach do bhaintreach
