Hello there!
I've slowly been working on the phonetic pronunciation of the full version of St. Patricks Breastplate as can be found in this post:
viewtopic.php?f=28&t=753I'm currently working on this part:
togairm Trindóit,
cretim Treodatad,
I'm using this website to help me out:
https://abair.ie/ It's a pretty amazing website. I can get someone to read it from northern, middle or southern Ireland. That being said I still could use a bit of help.
Trindóit: chrin-dot ?? I'm definitely hearing a Ch as in "chug" followed by an r sound
Treodatad: This also seems to start with a Ch sound and then Oh
Am i correct here? Is there some sort of general rule where Tr makes a Ch sound?
As far as translation, that post says it translate to:
The invocation of the trinity,
The belief in the threeness,
Any corrections anywhere are appreciated. Thank you so much!
Thank you!!
