Dia daoibh a fhoghlaimeoirí... I am slow and this is my first attempt at constructing sentences. I'm pretty sure I've got the "Is mise" bit correct but if you want something easy to work on, could you tell me what all my mistakes are?

Is mise Péigín. Is as Virginia mé. Tá é san oirdheisceart na Stáit Aontaithe Mheiriceá. Tá súile gorma agam. Tá gruaig dhonn agam. Thaistil mé go Béal Feirste anuraidh. Déanaim staidéar Gaeilge do mo thráchtas. Is maith liom leabhair, cait, agus bia Síneach. Ól mé mo thae agus bainne.

(Like... if the Oxford comma isn't used in Irish, to start with )

I think it's "Peigín"

If you mean "I drank tea and milk" it is "D'ól mé tae agus bainne". Otherwise tell us what you meant

Sometimes people say, I am from ----, but now I live (or am living) in ----

Actually, I think Lughaidh is only correcting the last sentence in each quote, but the tá mé i mo chónaí is off target.

I think Rós Bán meant "It (i.e., Virginia) is in the southeast of the United States." => Tá sé in oirdheisceart Stáit Aontaithe Mheiriceá. (sé = an stát)

The tea sentence was supposed to be "I drink [as in, I habitually drink] tea with milk" but I was unsure about that one.
